Description
The Philosophy: Sound Over Everything
The Archive wasn’t built to just look like a piece of vintage gear; it was
mathematically modeled to sound and react like it. We prioritized raw DSP
accuracy, component-level saturation, and authentic hardware aliasing over flashy
3D graphics. When you push this engine, it pushes back like real iron and circuitry.
The Sampler Engine (6 Legendary Models) Choose the exact AD/DA conversion
and hardware filtering of the machines that built hip-hop and electronic music:
Akai S950: Classic 12-bit grit with its signature steep low-pass filter.
E-mu SP-1200: The legendary 12-bit crunch with heavy ringing and a
resonant filter Q.
Akai S3000: Cleaner 16-bit clarity, but with vintage transient snap.
Ensoniq EPS: The dusty 13-bit mid-range forward character.
Ensoniq ASR-10: Thick, warm 16-bit sound with distinct headroom.
Ensoniq Mirage: Absolute 8-bit lofi destruction with a dark 5kHz ceiling.
Analog Output Stage (Console Switch) Route your audio through two distinct
analog mix bus emulations:
British Class-A (Neve-style): Warm, asymmetric saturation that adds
harmonic thickness and weight to the low-mids.
Modern VCA (SSL-style): Symmetrical, punchy, and aggressive. Perfect
for making drums smack through a mix.
Tape Machine Engine (4 Speeds) Dial in authentic magnetic tape compression,
head-bump, and roll-off using the Tape knob:
Archive: A custom, destroyed tape algorithm.
7.5 IPS: Lo-fi cassette territory with a dark top-end and heavy low-mid
bump.
15 IPS: The classic studio standard. Thick, warm, and glued together.
30 IPS: Mastering grade. High fidelity with a subtle, tight saturation.
The Hardware Modules
VIN60 (New!): Instantly apply the sonic fingerprint of the legendary
MPC60. Drops the signal to a crude 12-bit linear quantization, applies a
hardware-accurate 11kHz roll-off, and boosts the 100Hz output
transformer.
IRON BOOST: A specialized mastering exciter. It isolates the sub/kick
frequencies (below 150Hz) and drives them through a cooled-iron
saturation algorithm, blending a subtle 15% kiss of warmth directly
underneath your track.
Smart Dynamics & Gain Staging
TONE STAGE: A predictive leveling amplifier linked to the Drive knob. As
you push the drive harder into the sampler circuits, the Tone Stage
reacts, allowing you to morph the character dynamically.
TRUE AUTO-GAIN (New!): A transparent, real-time RMS volume
matcher sitting at the very end of the plugin. Push the plugin to its
absolute limits, and Auto-Gain smoothly rides the master output fader so
your mix volume stays perfectly leveled.
The Core Controls
Trim: Clean input gain adjustment (-24dB to +24dB).
Drive: Pushes the signal deep into the selected sampler’s A/D
converters.
Sample Rate: Continuously variable clock-down knob (from 44.1kHz
down to 2kHz) to introduce authentic vintage aliasing and ringing.
Mix: A global parallel blend knob for easy NY-style compression and
coloration.
Vintage LCD: Features 103 meticulously crafted factory presets, a
randomizer, and visual feedback for all hardware switches.
